Bethalto - Serenity Salon and Spa is celebrating its new owner with a grand opening today at 650 South Moreland Road 9-4

A Locks of Love donation Open House event also takes place during the celebration.

"Everyone here is giving to the community as much as possible, co-owner Angie Serenity Berlemann said.

The Serenity Spa reopened under new ownership last March. Berlemann joined co-owner Marci Shirley previous Serenity to provide the region with a center Bethalto complete hair, body, skin and nails.

"There are many beauty salons around, but not a spa," Berlemann said. "Many people do not realize what we have to offer here. They know that we do hair, but when they come see all the other amenities we have. We like the idea of going one place to get what you need. Instead of traveling to Edwardsville or St. Louis, we have everything right here.
